Forensic Peer Support

This training is designed for CPSs supporting individuals impacted by the justice system. Participants will gain practical tools, strategies, and advocacy skills to provide effective peer support, address unique challenges supporting individuals navigate systems while promoting recovery, empowerment, and community connection.

Course description

Forensic Peer Support is a workshop to support peers working in the justice system, whether be in courts, incarceration spaces, or probational support, in how to facilitate peer support and advocacy in justice spaces. There is a need throughout the state for more training within justice spaces for peer support which is why the team feels offering this workshop for 2025-2026 fiscal year would be beneficial.
