Position Summary
The Director of Quality Management is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and oversight of Kiva Centers’ quality management and performance improvement systems across Recovery Learning Communities (RLCs) and Peer-Run Respite programs.
This role ensures that services are recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, peer-led, and compliant with Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH) standards, including 104 CMR 28 where applicable. The Director will oversee data systems, program evaluation, and continuous quality improvement (CQI) processes, while supporting program teams to translate data into meaningful improvements in service quality, access, and participant outcomes.
This job does NOT require the candidate to have lived experience with mental health, substance use, and/or history of trauma.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management & Compliance
- Develop and oversee Quality Management (QM) and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) plans
- Ensure compliance with DMH standards (104 CMR 28)
- Lead audits and prepare for site visits
Data, Evaluation & Performance Monitoring
- Track program participation, utilization, and outcomes
- Analyze data and produce reports
Continuous Quality Improvement
- Lead CQI initiatives using structured models
- Improve service delivery and accessibility
Program Evaluation
- Evaluate RLC and peer run respite services
- Use data to inform program improvements
CLAS, Equity & Cultural Responsiveness
- Integrate CLAS principles
- Address disparities in access and outcomes
Training & Capacity Building
- Train staff on quality practices and compliance
- Promote a learning culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred)
- 5+ years in quality management or behavioral health
- Knowledge of recovery-oriented systems and DMH standards
