Living with Suicide

Kiva Centers’ Living with Suicide Training is a 5-day intensive course designed for peers looking to become Certified Peer Specialists, community activists, and other behavioral health service providers with lived experience. With a focus on trauma and environment, participants will learn how to effectively partner with someone experiencing suicidality, as well as impacted family, friends, partners, caregivers and domestic violence survivors where suicide / threats of suicide is a factor in the abuse. The training will consist of roleplay and practice scenarios, self-awareness exercises,and in-depth conversations related to suicide, trauma, bereavement, relationships and sustainable work practices for the lived experience profession.

Primary Audiences: Certified Peer Specialists, community activists, and other behavioral health service providers with lived experience

Course Length: 5 Days
