How We Do It

We believe in every person’s right to autonomy, self-determination, and reclamation over their own experiences. We believe that relationships are at the center of what heals people who have experienced emotional distress. We are united by our shared experience and common humanity. Our stories and collective wisdom guide us and our community to liberation.

Relationships

We believe relationships are at the center of what heals people with emotional or mental health experiences. We view each person as an “individual” not a diagnosis. We are united in our humanity, our shared experiences, and our goals for healing.

Mutual Support and Transparency

Mutual support and transparency are vital components to the healing process. We are united in our unique understanding of the issues and challenges we face as we have all faced them.

Shared Stories and Wisdom

As individuals, we seek not only to understand, but to be understood. It is only when we feel we are understood that our healing begins.

Our shared stories of lived experiences and wisdom help create strong relationships and bonds with those on their journey to emotional and mental health.
